Hotel Registration
Our meeting site is Quebec’s fabled chateau, Fairmont Le Chateau Frontenac, with its majestic presence overlooking the St. Lawrence. The Frontenac is not just a hotel in the heart of Old Quebec – it “is” the heart of Old Quebec. Not only does it have luxuriously appointed guest rooms, 3 restaurants, 1 bar and 1 lounge but it has a first-class health club and spa, plus indoor pool with outdoor terrace. We hope you will reserve your room early at the Fairmont Le Chateau Frontenac, a hotel unlike any other in the world and one whose charm will surely capture your heart and imagination.
HOTEL RESERVATIONS – RESERVE EARLY! (https://resweb.passkey.com/go/cmeradiology)
SPECIAL NOTE: THE FAIRMONT CHATEAU FRONTENAC HAS LOWERED OUR GROUP RATES AND THE NEW RATES ARE SHOWN BELOW. IF YOU REGISTER WITH FAIRMONT USING THE LINK ABOVE, YOU WILL RECEIVE THESE DISCOUNTED RATES:
We encourage you to reserve your room before July to avoid missing the chance to stay at this lovely hotel. It’s an extremely popular hotel, as you can imagine, and rooms sell out quickly:
A block of rooms has been established for our group with the following special discounted rates:
• Fairmont Rooms ($229 CAD plus tax per night and now lowered to $215 CAD plus tax) – We blocked the majority of accommodations in this category, well-appointed and furnished rooms with courtyard view, all featuring high-speed internet (free for President’s Club Members) and the rich amenities for which Fairmont is known;
•Deluxe Old Quebec ($304 CAD plus tax per night and now lowered to $255 CAD plus tax) – Although these are the same size as Fairmont Rooms, we blocked a few of these rooms for couples or singles desiring a view of Old Quebec’s historical architecture.
•Deluxe Riverview ($379 CAD plus tax per night and now lowered to $295 plus tax per night) – We also blocked some rooms in this category for guests wishing for a guaranteed view of the majestic St. Lawrence River.
IF THE HOTEL IS SOLD OUT, WE SUGGEST YOU CONSIDER THE NEARBY CLARENDON (3-STAR AND VERY CLOSE); OTHERWISE, PERHAPS CHECK THE LOEWS OR HILTON FOR MORE UPSCALE LODGING. PLENTY OF SMALL INNS AND BED & BREAKFASTS CAN BE FOUND NEAR THE FRONTENAC TOO.
Please reserve your accommodations no later than July 10, 2009 to avoid disappointment although a few additional rooms may be available until August 10, 2009. It's easiest to reserve on-line using the link above. Alternatively, call 1-800-441-1414 or 418-692-3861 and mention this code for your group rate: UORP09.
Current taxes are 3% Accommodations Tax, 5% GST and 7.5% Provincial Sales Tax. Each extra person (over 18) sharing a room will be charged an additional $40 CAD per night.

Highlights of the Area
QUEBEC CITY
No other destination in the world offers Quebec’s compelling mix of features and attractions, the most European city in North America. September, with ideal weather and smaller crowds, is the perfect time to visit Quebec City for a long fall weekend. The European spirit of the 17th century pervades every quaint alley and street filled with antique shops, art galleries, craft shops, as well as bistros and restaurants brimming with a tantalizing array of Quebec’s regional foods and flavors. We think you will delight in its street entertainers, museums, horse-drawn carriage rides, boat cruises on the St. Lawrence, walking and ghost tours and simply soaking in the atmosphere.
SPECIAL GROUP ACTIVITIES
•A Welcome Continental Breakfast for spouses/families will take place on Friday morning from 8-9:30 a.m., followed by a private guided tour of the Frontenac. (We will be in contact with you in July with further details.)
•A Welcome Reception is scheduled for Friday evening (5-6 p.m.) for all registrants, speakers and family members.
•A cooking class is tentatively scheduled for Saturday morning at the Frontenac for a limited number in our group; details and prices will be available in the spring.
•Golf tee-times are being reserved for Saturday afternoon at Le Grand Vallon, a beautifully rolling 18-hole par 72 course set against the backdrop of Mont-Sainte-Anne. (We will be in contact with you in July with final prices & details)
